Colin Kummerfeldt
Senior Development Manager
Colin Kummerfeldt leads Apex's on-the-ground development efforts for projects across Michigan, working with landowners and the broader community to answer their questions, manage project studies, and make the project a reality. Colin was born and raised in Howell, Michigan and attended Howell High School prior to attending Western Michigan University, where he earned a degree in Political Science focused on American Public Policy.Prior to joining the Apex team, Colin worked in Michigan's State Senate as a scheduler and special events organizer for one of Michigan's thirty-eight senators. He also has experience with local townships through job shadowing with a local assessor's office. Colin will work with landowners, local supporters, and community stakeholders to help answer questions and inform members of the community about the project.

Brian O'Shea
Director of Public Engagement
Brian O'Shea leads Apex Clean Energy's public and community engagement efforts for projects throughout the USA. Brian began his career organizing in rural communities in North Dakota and throughout Minnesota before moving to the private sector in 2013, where he worked as a consultant to numerous businesses, trade associations, nonprofits, and advocacy groups across the country on issues ranging from education policy to workforce development to clean energy. Brian was excited to join Apex Clean Energy as a public engagement manager in 2019. In this capacity, he works closely with local elected leaders, community leaders, landowners, and residents to gather local feedback, answer common questions, and work with communities to help realize their opportunities for renewable energy development and accelerate America’s shift to clean energy.
Nathan McClellan
Land Agent
Born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia, Nathan has spent three years working on various projects on behalf of Apex Clean Energy across the United States. With a background in energy land management, Nathan brings a decade of land acquisition experience in both the renewable energy and oil and gas fields. He takes pride in being a reliable source for landowners to lean on during the course of leasing and developing renewable energy projects. Nathan lives with his wife, Conner, and their daughter in Florida. When not working, he enjoys golfing, spending time with friends and family, and attending West Virginia University sporting events.
Bennett Bosley
Land Agent
Born and raised on a third-generation Gratiot County, Michigan farm, Ben, has for the past 24 years, worked as a contract Landman helping landowners navigate gas, oil, coal, and renewable energy easements. For the past six years, Ben has worked with Apex Clean Energy, helping finalize several Apex projects in IL and has recently returned to Michigan in order to be closer to family and provide his expertise to landowners and communities within his home state. Being a farmer, Ben seeks to assist landowners in securing fair and profitable green energy leases tailored to their operations. Now residing in Florida, Ben enjoys motorcycling and boating, and fishing.
